What began as an idea at the New York Academy of Sciences Ethical AI Challenge has grown into Neuroflux—a venture blending deep learning, healthcare innovation, and global entrepreneurship. As co-founder, I helped design a multimodal AI framework that pushes the boundaries of medical imaging and explainability.

Transforming Healthcare with AI

At the heart of Neuroflux is a Grad-CAM-enhanced U-Net model, fine-tuned for tumor segmentation. In trials, it reached 99.01% accuracy when applied to glioblastoma cases, offering not just precision but also interpretability—a crucial step in clinical adoption. The model’s versatility also extends beyond medicine, opening opportunities in the broader AI transparency and accountability space.

Recognition in Research and Academia

Our work quickly moved from experimentation to scholarly impact. Neuroflux earned a publication in the International Journal of High School Research (June 2025) and was showcased at the Harvard OpenBio Conference: Revolutionizing Life—Frontiers of Biotechnology. Later that year, the project was accepted for both abstract publication and a poster presentation at the 7th International Conference on Neuroscience, cementing its position at the intersection of AI and life sciences.

Building Visibility on the Global Stage

Recognition wasn’t limited to research circles. Neuroflux also gained traction through competitive innovation platforms:

  • 2nd place in the Wix Creators for Tomorrow Challenge, selected from hundreds of global applicants and awarded a $2,000 prize.

  • Semifinalist placement in the exclusive Wix Cohort (one of only 28 teams chosen worldwide).

  • Qualified for public voting in the 2025 SDG Challenge.

  • Ranked 36th out of 2,000+ submissions spanning 160+ countries at the Moonshot Pirates Shape the Future Challenge.

Community Impact and Open Source Growth

Beyond accolades, the open-source Neuroflux library has attracted significant community engagement, surpassing 6,000 downloads. This growing adoption reinforces the real-world potential and accessibility of our approach.

Entrepreneurial Momentum

The project’s entrepreneurial spirit was recognized at the Harvard Vision Pitch Competition (2025), where Neuroflux not only qualified but ultimately secured first place.
